ExpedMed holds CME conferences and runs CME travel expeditions for physicians and other health practitioners seeking to "sharpen their pencils" and meet CME requirements. ExpedMed is owned and operated by Dr. Greg Bledsoe, Tusker Trail's consulting physician. Eddie Frank is a speaker at ExpedMed's conferences, and Tusker Trail runs ExpedMed's CME expeditions to Kilimanjaro and Everest Base Camp.

The Kilimanjaro Porter Assistance Project (KPAP) is the only non-profit organization fighting for porter rights and working conditions on Kilimanjaro. Eddie Frank, who has set high standards for porter treatment, is a consultant to the small organization, and donates a fair amount of money and lots of his time to help it survive.
