EDDIE FRANK
Tusker Founder/Owner/Guide
Eddie is the founder of Tusker Trail and was born and raised in Africa. He has been leading remote expeditions in Africa for the past 37 years. Over the years he has climbed Kilimanjaro 46 times and crossed the Sahara 34 times. As a "Roads Scholar" he has accumulated numerous degrees which include bush mechanics, trekker psychology and tribal communication.

ANDREW SPRINGSTEEL
Operations Director - North America
Andrew is 35, was born in Ohio, USA, and studied journalism at Ohio State University. He has trekked in Nepal, Tanzania, Mongolia and all over the US. In 2003 Andrew climbed Kilimanjaro - as a Tusker client. 3 months later he moved to Lake Tahoe and joined the Tusker team. He has certified as an EMT and Wilderness First Responder. When he's not in the Tusker office Andrew can be found outside hiking, sailing, paddling, biking and skiing with his wife and 2 young boys.

JULIAN JONES
Operations Director - Tanzania
Julian is 29, and was born and raised in Africa. Eddie has known Julian since he was just a tot. Julian lived most of his life a stone's throw from Victoria Falls in Zambia, where he worked as a river rafting and safari guide. Julian is now married to a Tanzanian woman and lives in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. He runs Tusker's Kilimanjaro climbing operation.

Assistant Operations Director - North America
Mel is 28, and was born in California, USA. She has a Bachelor's degree in recreation and leisure management from San Diego State University. Mel is a certified snowboard instructor at Lake Tahoe and is an ace surfer. She moved to Lake Tahoe for the snowboarding, hiking, the mountains, and the beautiful lake.

HALEY BRUNELLO
Trekking Coordinator
Haley is 29 and was born and raised in New Zealand. She graduated from Massey University with a BED. She moved to the United States in 2004. Since then she has trekked in Nepal, Switzerland, and Italy, canoed in Sweden, and scuba dived in Thailand. Haley moved to Lake Tahoe with her husband to join the Tusker team.

RACHAEL SCALA
Trekking Coordinator
Rachael was born and raised in Nevada, USA and is 24 years old. She graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a B.A. in International Affairs, where she played an integral role in the school's outdoor education program. Rachael has traveled extensiverly in places like Costa Rica, Chile, New Zealand and Europe, to name a few. She enjoys the fresh air of her Sierra Nevada backyard with Aggie, her black lab, and loves to capture it all with pen and lens.
