Gear & Accommodation
For your first two nights and your last night, you will stay at the Keys Hotel. The Ndesamburu Family owns this quaint family-run hotel. They are close friends of Eddie Frank.
We use our own rugged climbing and camping gear, such as Eureka 4-season tents and custom-designed foam mattresses, which are all made in the US and exported to Tanzania. You will have your meals seated on camp chairs inside of our weatherproof "mess tents". We use the best quality gear, and maintain it to the highest standards. And if you need a sleeping bag and don't want to spend the big bucks, we'll rent you one of ours at a reasonable rate. We use North Face sleeping bags rated to 0 degs.F (-15 C). Once you arrive at our hotel, we'll also issue you with a rugged, waterproof duffle bag to keep your clothing dry and protected for the duration of your climb.
