MOUNTAIN CUISINE
While climbing Kilimanjaro, you will enjoy 3 hot meals except for the first and last days. On the first and last day we serve you hot breakfast and dinner, with a pack lunch. All our food is prepared with fresh produce and meats cooked in a variety of styles. We enjoy our meals in roomy all-weather dining tents, which seat 10 climbers, equipped with tables, folding chairs, and gas lamps for warmth and lighting.

RE-SUPPLY FRESH FOODS
Half way into your Kilimanjaro Climb we re-supply the team with fresh food. That way we ensure that our cooks have the freshest meat, fruit and vegetables. This also prevents food from
going bad by having to carry it for the whole trip.

STAYING HEALTHY
The Kilimanjaro Climb is tough enough without having to worry about stomach upsets. For this reason, all of our meals are prepared with the highest sanitary standards. You will also be required to wash your hands thoroughly in chlorinated water prior to eating. We do not serve any raw vegetables or salads for this reason. Drinking water is your best friend on the mountain. We chlorinate all our water, which comes from the mountain. We also use Katadyn filters while we’re hiking on the trail. |
