CRUCIAL SKILLS
Wilderness First Responders are people trained to save lives in emergency situations in the back-country. This course is the recognized standard for those who work as back-country trip leaders, mountain guides and river guides. It's also a great skill to have if you take your family out camping.
|
HANDS ON
TUSKER TRAIL, has teamed up with SOLO, the leader in Wilderness Medicine Training in the United States, to bring you the Wilderness First Responder course at Lake Tahoe. This is the basis of the high altitude course Eddie & Amy Frank teach to all of their Mount Kilimanjaro and other trekking guides. By taking this course, you gain comprehensive knowledge and training in patient assessment and treatment in the wild.
|
PURE VISION
SOLO was formed over 30 years ago by Dr. Frank Hubbell and Lee Frizzell. SOLO developed the first Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, and Wilderness Emergency Technician curricula in the US. Its teachers have trained over 110,000 people since 1976, in the US and around the world.
|
EMPOWER YOURSELF
The partnership between Tusker Trail and SOLO brings the course of a lifetime to those who want to empower themselves and get certified as a Wilderness First Responder. It also provides the chance to get hands on experience in one of the greatest wilderness regions in North America - Lake Tahoe, Nevada. |
A GREAT CAUSE
Tusker plans to donate all net proceeds to the Parasol Foundation, a local charity. So join Tusker Trail and SOLO at Lake Tahoe for an educational adventure you will never forget. Not only will you have the time of your life, but the knowledge you gain just may save a life -- or the life of someone you love.
