MOUNTAIN MAGICIANS
It’s no secret that traditional Mongolian food and western tastes can sometimes clash.  So on our trek, we prepare a tasty variety of western food.

As we are trekking in a very remote area, we stock up on all our food at the start of the trek.  You will enjoy two great hot meals a day as well as a pack lunch, made with fresh produce and meats cooked in a variety of styles. Breakfast and dinner are served up in our weatherproof dining tents.

BREAKFAST
Toast (with honey, jam and/or butter);
French toast; pancakes; eggs scrambled, fried, poached, omelet); cooked vegetables; oats, cereals; tea; coffee; cocoa; juice.

LUNCH
We mix up salads and cold meats on the trail.  Lunch at camp isusually a mix of hot meals and salads. Vegetable salads; cold meat sandwiches; eggs; tuna salad; grilled cheese sandwiches; canned fruits; French fries, otherwise known as chips; tea; coffee; cocoa; juice.

DINNER
Soup; beef, pasta; rice; vegetables; canned fruits; tea; coffee; cocoa, juice

SPECIAL DIETS

If you have any special requirements, just let us know. We’ll arrange it for you.

STAYING HEALTHY

The climb is tough enough without having to worry about stomach problems. For this reason, all of our meals are prepared with the highest sanitary standards. You will also be required to wash your hands thoroughly in chlorinated water prior to eating.

DRINKING WATER

All water is fresh mountain glacial water,
which we filterthrough our Swiss-made
KATADYN filters.

BEER & SODA

There is no soda or beer on the trek.  However, you can buy wine and Vodka at Ulgii, just before we leave for the Altai mountains.
