Fly from Kilimanjaro or Arusha to Zanzibar. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is free to relax on the beach or spend some time meandering through the narrow streets of Stone Town.

Today you have a choice of the Stone Town tour, or the Spice Tour

Stone Town Tour: After breakfast you take a guided tour of Stone Town, the cultural heart of Zanzibar. You will notice the ornately decorated buildings and intricately carved doors You also visit the famous slave market (on which now stands the Anglican Church), the House of Wonders the Old English Club, and Tippu Tip’s house.

Spice Tour: Zanzibar, also known as the ‘Spice Island’, is a luscious green getaway brimming with exotic species of spices and plants. During your spice tour you have the chance to taste, smell and see how the various spices and fruits are grown. Your tour will end with a visit to the Kidichi Persian baths and the Maruhubi Palace ruins. In the afternoon you are transferred to the north East coast of Zanzibar, to relax at the Matemwe Bungalows.
