At the age of 24, while working as a photographer, Eddie Frank bet a friend that he'd fulfill his boyhood dream of driving across Africa.
For the friend, it would be a bad bet. Six months later Eddie was crossing Africa in an old surplus Landrover on his first trans-African expedition.

He never looked back. Since that original expedition, Eddie has been driven by his passion for exploring new and exciting parts of the world, and share his discoveries and his unique perspective with Tusker Trail’s long list of adventurers.
And the list keeps on growing.

During Eddie Frank’s adventure career he has climbed Kilimanjaro - times crossed the Sahara Desert 33 times, dined with dictators, hunted with the Pygmies in the jungles of the Congo, survived African jails, and a handful of military coups. He has also recently trained the US Special Forces.
Eddie has succeeded in building Tusker's reputation as one of the top adventure companies in the world.
