Join us in MONGOLIA on August 1, 2008 for this rare celestial event.

Renowned NASA and SETI astronomer, Dr. Laurance Doyle, and veteran African safari guide, Eddie Frank - Tusker Trail's founder - are teaming up once again on an exciting eclipse trip. Tusker Trail's  previous eclipse trips found their groups in a remote corner of Zambia in 2001, on the coast of southern Australia in 2002, and on a distant hill in Ghana in 2006.

Over the past 23 years, Dr. Doyle and Eddie Frank have joined forces on numerous expeditions, the most notable being an archaeo-astrononomy expedition to NAMORATUNGA, an ancient rock circle in Kenya, which they proved to be an ancient Cushitic observatory.

Tusker Trail intends to make the 2008 Eclipse Trip one of the most historic journeys of the decade. It will be a voyage of high adventure and celestial discovery in the heart of Asia where thrill seekers will be able to encounter the great Mongolian wilderness and its culture as few have done before.

In August, 2006 Eddie Frank embarked on a rugged 3,000 mile exploratory expedition in Western Mongolia to scout the route.
