The terrain is rugged and steep and you will be exposed to the elements as you ascend from 6,000 to 19,341 feet over multiple days. On a typical day, you can expect to hike for up to 8 hours, and summit day can be a total of 12-14 hours. The daily gains and losses in altitude can be significant, and the weather can be quite unpredictable. Previous experience with similar hikes is strongly recommended.
