Deep in the Andes mountain range of Peru lie the Cordillera Blanca mountains. The spectacular Cordillera range is the most extensive tropical ice-covered mountain range in the world, with 722 glaciers.
On trek through this mecca of massive peaks, we arrive at the foot of Peru's tallest mountain, Mt. Huascaran - 22,205 feet. We also explore rarely visited canyons where Condors soar, and hike the ancient trails that thread the cultural routes of millenia past.
On the first part of this trek, in the Cordillera Blancas, we have focused on an area of Peru that very few people travel through. That's the appeal of the trek. The second part, Machu Picchu, can only be booked in conjunction with the Cordillera Blanca trek, and gives you a chance to encounter this iconic wonder that attracts many travelers every year.
