While trekking through Mongolia's tough terrain, it's imperative that we use the absolute best tents available. For sleeping we use Eureka's 4-season K2XT all-weather tent. We have tested these tents under the harshest conditions, and they stand up to all the punishment we can muster.
Our dining tents also are built to the same tough standards, and sit 16 of us in comfortable chairs around large camp tables. That is if we're not dining "al fresco," in the open air.

The camp is transported by our very reliable Bactrian camels, our porters for the duration of the trek. These trusty beasts just keep on trucking on, while carrying the entire Tusker camp on their backs, herded by our trusty "camel guys," nomads from the area who have been working with us for the past 12 years.

In Ulgii we stay at a traditional Mongolian Ger Camp, just outside of town, where we sleep on comfortable beds in the GERS (nomadic tents).
In Ulaan Bataar we stay at the Tuushin or Kempinski Hotel, centrally located and the finest in Ulaan Baatar.
